WEIRD TODAY

The photo below reminds me of a painting I’ve seen that is very famous, but I can’t remember the artist or the name of the painting – it is a big wide-eyed face in whitish grey on a dark field.  Anyone want to link me to that?  (Blogging in a hurry, so I don’t have time to do the google search myself, sorry).

Up close the camera right eye shows it has these little flakes on it.  Not sure what they are.  Don’t look like frozen crystals to me, but don’t look like bugs either.  Might be a fungus I guess.  Pretty weird and probably gross, but something I noticed.

And just to keep with the weird theme of this post, here is a photo of Tank being a weirdo – sorry, not the greatest focus, but I think you get the idea.  He loves to play in the snow, and apparently he likes to impersonate the mountain lion – the big floppy ears flying around up there are kind of a give-away that he’s not a mountain lion after all.

Have a great Tuesday!

  1. Very interesting “face leaf” ….. I wonder if the flakes are bug eggs? or the leftover parts of bug eggs after the bugs hatched? Tank does look a little ferocious in that pose 🙂

  2. Great picture of Tank!

Oh! These are fun! You are thinking of “The Scream” by Edvard Munch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream

  4. Beautiful colors and Tank looks like he’s having a great time playing in the snow! I love seeing leaping dogs when they are in snow or fields where they jump up and down! Total happiness!

  5. Interesting face on that leaf and Tank looks to be having a marvelous time.

  6. mountain lion eh? lol.. he’s too cute!

Seeing snow just seems strange to me — I’m not sure we’ll ever get any! Beautiful images and Tank is awesome. 🙂
