This boy got his hunting license and went hunting on opening day, September 1. It was a big deal – he’s been waiting for years, and was finally able to take the hunter safety class over the summer. And he got 79 out of 80 on the test.
Not bad for a boy who gets super stressed about test taking – yes, he was stressed about that test, to the point of throwing up, but he still aced it!
That dog we just brought home, well, he flushed the bird so the boy could shoot it.
Go figure!
By the way, the bird tasted really good! It is a mountain grouse, in case you wanted to know.
How’s school going for “the boy”? He and his dog look like a great pair of hunters!
Congrats to him on studying and doing so well on the test! Responsible hunters are the best kind 🙂
Please tell him, “Congratulations!” from the blog world!
That’s definitely a milestone!
Congrats!
Congrats to him! Great photos!
Congrats to your son!
Congratulations to your boy — that’s awesome! Love the smile on his face. 🙂
Congrats to the “boy” on his first successful hunt!! Love the photo of the trail leading thru the trees …… makes me want to take a stroll there. The last photo is just perfect! Adding the dog posing so wonderfully just made it awesome!
Your counting shots are great. Congrats to your son!
