It is hard to believe that it has been almost two weeks since we took a little excursion to Grand Teton to meet up with some of our favorite people and do a bit of camping.

We stayed at Signal Mountain Campground on Jackson Lake – which was full to above capacity!  Andy and J had a great time heading into the water where Andy did some swimming as part of his training fore the triathlon that will take place tomorrow (July 31).  J was all excited to go into the water until they spotted two snakes in there.

Then J came out.  But he did go back in later.

The Becker part of 8 got the spot next to ours, and we all just settled in for some cooking and socializing.

We all took a trip across Jenny Lake on the boat so we could do some hiking to a waterfall.

For J having boys to play with, even younger boys, was a real treat!

There was lunch on the trail too.

The water was rushing in the falls, and we heard from the boat driver that they had well over 700 inches of snow this past winter – almost 800 inches.  That is a lot of snow!

The two older girls really had a nice time together – can’t believe how grown up HS is!

The kids also really enjoyed a long late afternoon swim in Jackson Lake, using the logs they found as boats and rafts.

The water was cold, but they stayed in for hours.  And the views were wonderful!

I think J saw himself as the great war ship driver, guiding his log weapon all around.  He didn’t come out of the water once until it was time to pack up and head back to camp.

It was good to sit in the late afternoon sun and just relax!

All the kids were quite a crew!

We sure appreciate the opportunity to spend time with these far away family members who are such good friends!  Hope to do something like this again when they are traveling through the Norther Rocky region again.  Thanks guys for a great time!

And for all the rest of you reading this, come on over and have an adventure with us!  We love it!

Tomorrow:  Pig Wrestling – I finally got the photos ready to upload.
