Old photo that reflects the current conditions!

We woke up yesterday to 18 inches of new snow.  Not the most spring feeling in our hearts.

It was not a bad week, but I was kept away from the computer by the fact that the mouse stopped working – took a couple of days to get to the store and buy a new one.

It was Grandparent’s Day at the school on Friday, and I was busy preparing for that.  Including picking up a new lens for my canon camera so I could return to more active photo taking (my old one broke and is being repaired, but more on all that in another post).

Andy had a big evidentiary hearing (not quite a trial, but much like one) on Friday, so he was busy all week preparing.

J withdrew from baseball (takes too much time to do that on days when he has homework, and he often has homework) but we all decided he could do karate instead since it is only 1 hour on the days it happens.  Plus, he’s been wanting to do that for years, so it seems a good match.

Last night we all plopped down to a family movie night, exhausted from a long busy week.

Then at 5:34 this morning the vomiting started.  Poor J is so sick!  So, Andy and I are going to tackle cleaning the basement, J is going to lay on the couch and moan, and the weekend will go on.

Our Bible Study is almost done with Hebrews, and this week we were in Hebrews chapter 12.  I was so certain the “Hall of Faith” of chapter 11 was going to be my favorite, but reading chapter 12 as a whole was really wonderful.  I’ll just share with you the first paragraph, which is oh so wonderful:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  Hebrews 12: 1-3

Hope to be back with photos from new lens this evening or tomorrow.  And a gratitude list too!
