I heard a guy on the Northern Ag network radio broadcast say that for their statistical tracking fall starts on September 1.
That fits with us.
So, Summer 2010 is past.
Autumn is here!
It is a very exciting time!
School starts next Tuesday, so in five days we have a lot to cram in – camping, hiking, preparing, painting, installing new dishwasher.
Most exciting? Probably the fact that I think today or tomorrow we can harvest our first tomato. Yep, first. It’s a short growing season in Montana, and it started really late this year. There are a handful of tomatoes that look close to ready, and this is a clear and warm day. So hopefully, tomorrow or Saturday we’ll get to bite into those babies and enjoy.
I hope lots of people sign up because it will be fun.
Many thoughts spinning in my head, but not organized enough to do anything with yet. Maybe over the weekend I’ll have something more interesting to say.
Oh! And I have a crafting project to do this weekend – a small proto-type for a large community project we’ll be doing at school. It’s totally out of my norm, and therefore a bit out of my comfort zone, but I’m kind of excited about it. Hope to have a share of that by next week.
