SHORT TRIP, NEW BOOK, OLD MOVIE

We had a wonderful short trip camping this weekend, up to Potosi creek.   It is a beautiful spot!

We met up with some friends from J’s school, and it was a relaxing time.

This last week I read the new book by Mary Beth Chapman called “Choosing to SEE.”  Just reading the dedications brought me to tears.  It was a quick read, written in an easy conversational style, but she gets her point across.  I recommend it as a testimony of faith in the face of some of the most difficult circumstances I can imagine.

We are having “family movie night,” as J calls it, and watching “True Grit.”  Turns out Andy never saw this movie before.  I loved it as a girl!  And honestly, I am sort of looking forward to the Cohen brothers remake of this movie which comes out on Christmas day.
